So long and cheerio to Built to Spill as they get ready to take off on their AMAZING tour of spillage in a few days. We wish them a jolly good time although we will not only miss them while they're gone, we'll miss our favorite Friday afternoon bartender at The Neurolux who will be acting as the Sound God throughout the world tour. Not a bad gig.
Among others, destination stops for the Boise-based group include:
San Francisco, Hollywood, Philadelphia, NY, Amsterdam, Brussels, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Heidelberg, Rome, Barcelona, Paris, London, Oxford and their last stop will be Dublin before heading back to their home in the City of Trees, Boise, Idaho, home to real-live Rockstars.
Le Fleur was their opening act Sunday night at the Knitting Factory as they all kicked off their "We Didn't Feel Like Having a Name for Our Tour and We Can Do Whatever We Want Because We Are Gods of Indie-Rock" Tour.
Best wishes to you guys! I mean, you will miss The Women's Show while you are gone, but we can understand if you happen to have a scheduling conflict in Leeds. The state of Boise's facial hair scene will be in sad shape as Doug departs our presence.
